Terms of Use

They apply to everyone who visits the site, signs up for the newsletter, creates an account, buys merch, listens to our podcasts, or interacts with any DD+ channel.

If you're contributing writing to DD+, separate Writer Contributor Terms also apply.

You can use most of DD+ without an account. To bookmark articles, save a cart, track orders, or write for us, you need to sign in. You may sign in with your email or with Google.

Keep your password safe and don't let anyone else use your account. If you think someone's used it without permission, email us at thedailydosegm@gmail.com.

You must be at least 13 to create an account.

When you use DD+, please don't:

• break the law, or use DD+ to harass, threaten, or defame other people;
• upload content that infringes someone else's rights (copyright, privacy, or otherwise);
• scrape, copy, or republish DD+ content at scale without our permission;
• try to break into the site, abuse the API, or interfere with how DD+ works for other people.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

Articles, podcasts, audio narration, images, the DD+ name, and the look-and-feel of the site are owned by The Daily Dose Plus or our licensors. You can read, listen, and share via the buttons we provide. You can't reproduce them commercially without our permission.

Anything you submit — a pitch, a draft, a comment, a review, an application — stays yours. By submitting it, you give us permission to host it on DD+ and to show it where appropriate (for example, a published article and its credit line, or a review under the article it relates to). You can ask us to take it down at any time.

Writing submitted as a contributor is also covered by our Writer Contributor Terms.

Prices and stock are shown on the product page and can change. We try to keep them accurate; if something is wrong with an order (mispriced, out of stock), we may cancel it and refund you.

We currently take payment through Wave. When you place an order you'll see a payment panel with the amount and an order reference; you complete the payment in the Wave app. We never see or store your card or bank details. Your order is marked as paid once we confirm the transfer on our side.

Shipping, returns, and any refund policy specific to a product are shown at checkout or on the product page.

DD+ links to YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Wave, and outside articles. Those sites have their own terms. We also use third parties to run DD+ — see our Privacy Policy for the list.

We work hard to publish accurate, well-researched journalism and to keep the site running. Even so, DD+ is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Opinions in opinion pieces are the author's own.

To the maximum extent permitted by Gambian law, DD+ is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Gambian consumer law that can't be limited.

We may change features, add new ones, or retire old ones. We may also update these terms; the version in force when you use DD+ is the one that applies.

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, or by emailing us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or that have been inactive for a long time.

These terms are governed by the laws of The Republic of The Gambia.
